About the Oregon Flora Photo
Gallery
The Oregon Flora Photo Gallery is an
online resource provided by the Oregon
Flora Project. Other facets of the Oregon Flora Project include a
checklist of the vascular plants of our state; a new flora, or plant
identification manual; and an atlas of plant
distributions. The Photo Gallery will ultimately feature multiple images
of each species, subspecies, and variety of vascular plants that grow in
Oregon without cultivation. Images will include photographs depicting the
plant’s habitat, its general habit, flowers, details of important characters,
a representative herbarium specimen, and as available, technical
illustrations. As with the other online features, the Photo Gallery will be
searchable and available to the public.
Interested in volunteering or donating
images?
Images for the Photo Gallery are
predominately gifts from individuals or organizations. If you would like to
contribute your photographs or if you would like to volunteer to help develop
this wonderful resource, contact us at:

Some basic points regarding photo
contributions are given here.Please contact us for more details
and discussion about large photo collections—we want to hear from
you!
- Please provide identification
(scientific name; common name if known) for each plant, and details available
about the date and location of the photograph
- Photographs of plants growing in Oregon in a non-cultivated setting are
our priority
- If interested in donating digital images please contact us for
information regarding acceptable file formats.
- 35mm slides are accepted; please contact us for details
- Contributors are asked to sign an Image Use Release
form
- The photographer retains copyright over all images contributed to the
Photo Gallery
